About Us

P1060267Ryefield White Suffolks was founded by Terry & Marianne Brazier in 2011 with the purchase of 80 stud ewes with Tandara and Farrer bloodlines.  This was a result of a comprehensive review of business operations at “Ryefield” in 2009 and provided diversity to the long established Brazier family commercial beef cattle operations.  Since 2011 the stud has been expanded to feature 150 ewes with the addition of Langley Heights, Annavilla and Ashmore bloodlines.

Focus

signTo provide commercial producers with a range of rams to suit both merino and first cross ewes, but with a particular focus on low birth weight rams for the smaller frame merino ewes typical of the New England region. Also important is selecting sheep with high fertility and a genetic predisposition to multiple births. This doesn’t mean that growth rates and other important genetic indicators are ignored, but the top priority is increased lambing percentages.

Continuous Improvement

Ryefield White Suffolks is committed to a process of continuous improvement and welcomes all feedback, both positive and negative. Feedback from valued customers is critical in helping the stud keep on track and refine breeding objectives to provide rams that are perfectly suited to buyers in the Northern Tablelands.
